Booting Linux for Programming Live DVD with Virtual Box

Linux for Programming (L4P) Live DVD is designed in purpose to provide as a convenient tool to people. As virtual machine is trend of computing platform. L4P is customized with Virtual Box client addition. This provides an alternative to people to use L4P with Virtual Box in instead to boot a physical DVD with a PC.

Firstly, you should prepare the ISO image. This is simply done by download the 7z files and extract it to have the ISO image file and follow below steps:

Start Virtual Box, and click File -> Virtual Media Manager

 

 Add this ISO image

 

 

 

 

Creating virtual machine

 

 

 

Click 'Storage' to insert the IOS image to virtual DVD Drive

 

Click 'System', make sure the the first booting device is the DVD ISO image

 

Start the virtual machine

 

After boot, when you see the boot prompt 'Boot: ', type 'l4p-vbox' then press Enter key

 The rest is same as booting DVD media with a PC.
